Rollerworks Family Skating Center is a great family place to go that works to cater to everyone. They have sessions geared towards all ages, including teens on Friday nights, families on Saturday afternoons and Sundays (even with a discounted family rate for groups of 3 to 5 on Sundays), and a fun evening skate on Saturday evenings. They offer lessons to help you learn to skate and beyond including their two competitive skating teams Rollerworks Speed team and the Rollerworks Artistic Club.
They host a lot great activities including the Reunion Skate and a skate for life event that benefited relay for life. They are active in the community hosting fundraising and community spirit events for most of the elementary schools in the county, along with other community organizations like the Fauquier Youth Flag Football League.
Recently they began offering Zumba classes that take place Wednesday nights at 6:30 and only cost $5 for an hour Zumba session on the skate floor, under the lights, and music through the skate rink speakers! This is a high-energy, fun session – the perfect place to have a Zumba class!
My family always has a good time when we go there. My sixth grader cannot get enough of Rollerworks and loves to skate. It’s hard to believe that when we first started going a few years ago, she could barely walk on skates for her first set of lessons. $35 for four lessons and the afternoon skate session, plus skate rental seemed like a good deal, and turned out to be an awesome deal! They have amazing instructors who took her from barely able to stand on skates to able to do many things on skates now.
