The Partnership for Warrenton Foundation, a small nonprofit organization located in the heart of Old Town Warrenton has several Board of Director changes.
After more than five years on the Partnership Board, Stevi Dorsey of Piedmont Press and Graphics stepped down , and John Marshall Cheatwood of Blackwell Title, who had been serving as the Board Secretary immediately stepped up to fill the vacancy left by Dorsey. This left an opening for a new secretary. Simultaneously, though, Melissa Wiedenfeld of HDR volunteered to serve as the Board Secretary. These actions were voted on and approved unanimously by the board members present at the Partnership’s January Board of Trustees meeting.
The 23-year old group, which is primarily focused on the historic preservation and economic revitalization of the Town’s historic Old Town district, is headed by a Board of Trustees which is comprised of local professionals who are dedicated to the organization’s mission and vision.
The Partnership for Warrenton Foundation is a member of the Virginia Main Street program and coordinates such events as 1st Fr!days, Evening Under the Stars, the Father’s Day Car Show and GumDrop Square as well as hosting the Warrenton City MasterKey program, publishing a book, Warrenton, Virginia: A Unique History of 200 Years and assisting the Town of Warrenton with the design and funding of the streetlamps in Old Town.
