Registration Opening Soon!

Registration for Summer Reading begins June 12th and is ongoing.  All programs are free!  Two programs are being offered.  One program is offered for children, ages birth-grade 5 and a separate program is offered for teens (6th-11th grade completed).

Youth participants will receive food coupons, stickers, glow-in-the dark bracelets, books and parties as incentives for finishing reading goals. Teens who meet reading goals get a free book, food coupons, and the chance to win “grab bag” prizes.

Summer Reading is a great way to combat summer learning loss.  As a recent study published in School Library Journal shows, children who participate in this program at their local public library have higher scores on reading tests taken at the beginning of the school year.
